Saturday, 13.11.26 – if you’re in Liverpool …..

Mike, Clive and Rick are delivering a workshop at Our Lady, Queen of Martyrs and St. Swithin Church, Stonebridge Lane. Liverpool L11 9AZ on Saturday 13th November 2026 from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm.

There are two sessions of about an hour with drinks inbetween.

Session 1 is a look at music in the liturgy and how musicians can minister to God’s people using their God-given talents.

Session 2 is a journey through Advent from a music ministry perspective.

The idea is that participants come and just rest in God’s presence and reflect on how they can best serve their parishes. No need to bring instruments or hymnbooks as the focus is not on techniques of playing or on practising particular pieces. For busy parish musicians, it’s an opportunity for you to see things from the congregation’s viewpoint.

We’ll use some material which may be new to you but it’s actually the how and why that matter most not the content!

We’re delighted to have received this invitation and equally delighted that the wonderful music groups of Our Lady’s – led by the appropriately-named Joy – have extended a welcome to all.

Hope we maybe see some of you there. There’s plenty of parking in the Church Club next door.
